I forgot to take a "before" pic but it was linework and the white lightning and a little shading on the leading edge of the wings.

Gouache is very different from but also weirdly similar to watercolor. The way I can layer opacity works much better with the way my brain handles color than watercolor's glazing methods.
I hope it's looking good to other eyes than mine 😅
