Just unearthed this putt-putt game I made in Flash back in 2010 when I was still in high school! I haven't seen this game in 15 years but I will formally apologise for the shade of green. I'd been dabbling in Flash for a couple years and I'm sure this is the first game I actually finished.

Steam can't tell if a release date is in the future.

Spring is almost here, the flowers are in bloom, and last Sunday I got to hike through fields of them for 7 hours! 🌸🌼⛰️

Just about ready to release a new build for Roll or Nothing, so here's a sneak peek at one of the features coming in this weekend's update: boss rounds! #gamedev #godotengine

Went to an art gallery yesterday. Decided to Google the name of the artist to read about later. This morning I realized I Googled the print style and not the artist 🤣

‪This morning I released a new build of my dice rolling game Roll or Nothing! 🎲🙌

This version contains 3 new special dice types, some fancy new items and a whole host of improvements!

You can read all about it on the devlog here:

Snapped these hauntingly beautiful images of Table Mountain on fire from the city last night.

The third and final type is "ghost dice". These dice do not contribute to your hand size and they do not collide with other dice, but they cannot be rerolled. Also, if they roll a 1 they disappear into the ether! 👻
February 22, 2025 at 8:59 AM
The next type is "glass dice". These have a 1/4 chance of rolling 2x their value, but are quite fragile and have a 1/4 chance of smashing when they land!
February 22, 2025 at 8:59 AM
The first new type is "gilded dice". These dice only contribute 1/2 their value to your score, but also earn 1/2 their value in $ at the end of the round 🫰💰

Hard to believe these photos I got with my phone on my sunset walk the other evening. 🌅❤️🌙

Reminded me of the fact that the creator of chiropractic learned about it from a ghost.

My game's daily views on itch are 5x - 10x higher since the update I posted on the weekend! And most of these views are coming internally from itch itself. Could this simply be the results of choosing a better name? 🤔

This photo from my last job 4 years ago just popped up and man, I miss that vertical screen for programming! Might have to think about getting one...

After agonizing over a new name for my dice game for weeks, I have finally settled on "Roll or Nothing". I have mocked up 2 logos, which do you prefer? Need to update the itch page when I put a new build out later today.

2024 was a banger year for me as a programmer, but March - June the work/life balance was basically non-existent, followed by several weeks of depressive burnout. It's very easy to overwork yourself when you're having fun tinkering on a side project.

Posting this to show non-artists who want to learn how to draw/paint that it is certainly possible. Left is a portrait I drew the first day I bought a drawing tablet. Right is the same portrait 2 years later. I practiced like once/twice a week and slowly got the hang of it, you can too!

Spent the day on the river. Don't know what shader magic they used on this water but it looked incredible. 10/10. 🛶

Busy reworking items. Ditched the pixel icons in favor of low-poly 3D models. The idea is that they're all knick-knacks you can find around the house. If you have some ideas for items, let me know. #gamedev #godot

A couple pics from my third year at #playtopia. What an awesome celebration of weird and wonderful indie games. I always leave feeling inspired. 🙌🏻
