Maybe it's skill issue but frantic Googling often leads nowhere. Then I open ChatGPT, write "I read article some X years ago where the author described X or Y what article could that have been?". And get the correct link >90% of the time.

Yup. I agree that here the monopoly angle is rather weak. OpenAI dominates the space but at the moment, there's plenty of competition. I need to read Ed's full article though.

That's a very narrow understanding called "Consumer Welfare standard" which was (sadly) prevalent in the US since the 80s.

Other enforcers (and FTC under Lina Khan) often consider(ed) antitrust more broadly. Also taking into account labor impact, overall market competitiveness and more.
