Trump just imposed a 25% import tax (i.e., tariff) on all imports from Colombia — the top supplier of coffee consumed in the United States. Since that tax will be passed along to American consumers, coffee prices are expected to rise dramatically.

Even the act of cooking can be an act of resistance. As I cut veggies, I think of the marginalized and remember the struggle. I had to throw out my carrots because they were recalled.
