you mean Syn’mosis tear? Not neccesarily, but w/o knowing the exact nature of the fracture its hard to judge. These tears are the result of the fracture being displaced or complicated - impacting the area around the fracture. Any membrane type tears would heal at apprx the same rate as the fracture

It’ll be a lower fib fracture, where the fib connects with the ankle. So the surgery will be to set the bone - depending on type of fracture - to make sure it heals correctly and doesnt give ankle issues in future. 6-8 wks to heal, then some rehab and strengthening. Means early Apr isnt unrealistic
