Meldrum are Aberdeenshire Schools cup winners, beating Kemnay 3-2 today. Son was Meldrum CB, and has last ever day at school tomorrow.

Records from Kirk Session interesting. Dec 1602: Women are being ‘doukit at the cran’, or alternatively hauled through streets in a cart to the mercat cross wearing paper crowns, fined and banished. Meanwhile Earl Marshall’s son fined 10 pounds for fornication & to repent next time he’s in town!

I think it was a button. Found the company - C19th clothiers on Broad Street Aberdeen. Nice for me as I now work in Marischal Square, part of what was part of Broad Street.

Having a coffee at Garioch Heritage centre (Inverurie) - it has a great library/research area with a big collection of Spalding Club books.
