I still think that’s not correct. A book being read aloud and a podcast are different types AND different mediums. Have you ever actually listened to an audiobook?

You know when I was a teenager I might have thought the same thing. I encourage you to challenge this prejudice you have toward making reading accessible as you grow and change. I enjoy reading a lot more now. A teenager on bluesky isnt going to convince me my audiobooks arent reading.

There is no other way for some people to read other than audiobooks or text to speech. We have figured out a way for people to read that cannot see and instead of seeing that as a technological marvel, people are trying to gate-keep the definition of reading. Silly silly.

No its not. A podcast is a different type of media. A narrator reading an audiobook is not the same as a podcast.

This argument is baffling to me because I have never once considered that audiobooks weren’t considered reading and I cant take anyone seriously who says they aren’t. I’m just like what are you talking about you are being silly.
