Thank you. Once I had located the juvenile bird, it was one of the easiest shot ever: the bird stood motionless for at least 10 minutes, only to bend over even more for the next few minutes.

Interesting ! The collared dove is called a "Turkish turtle dove" (Turkse tortelduif) in Dutch as well, whereas the European is called "summer turtle" (zomertortel).
