Interesting to see that translating a web page (a very innocent one about holiday traditions, no nudity, no religious fervor, no sales or spam) with Google Translate, and posting it to a public group will result for a permanent ban "for advertising" on Facebook nowadays. My appeal is pending.
An automated AI message from Facebook, saying that "your facebook account has been restricted from advertising", and "because of inauthentic behaviour or violations of our advertising policies affecting business assets." The message also tells directly that "we used technology to detect this violation and either technology or a review team to carry out this decision", meaning that FB uses AI - artificial intelligence - which randomly suspends Facebook accounts, often without any reason.

In a painting in watercolours and opaque paints, the 19-year-old Finnish artist smokes with a defiant and self-assured look. The debate about women's rights and gender roles was on the rise in the artist's youth, and many women began to expand their sphere of action in society by adopting what was considered masculine behaviour. In the self-portrait, smoking is a conscious choice by the artist to show her modern attitude. A white alabaster statue depicting a nude young woman with a large sword and a cut head of a bearded man, which she is clutching from the hair. She is casually leaning on the sword, and placing the man's head on a low pedestal. Her neatly pleated hair and the man's hair and beard are tinted light brown or golden yellow. "The depiction of Judith with the head of the Holofernes has been depicted many times in art. Undoubtedly outstanding is the almost 30 cm tall alabaster sculpture by Conrad Meit, which he created around 1525/1528. It is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Bavarian National Museum and the Renaissance art in general. Meits Judith is naked, which can't be understood as an erotic interpretation, but as a moral interpretation."

The Lion of Gripsholm Castle is a notable example of a poorly performed taxidermy located in Gripsholm Castle, Sweden. The lion is badly stuffed and is considered to have a comically deformed face. In 1731, the dey of Algiers, Baba Abdi, presented King Frederick I of Sweden with a lion, one of the first lions in Scandinavia. When the lion died, it was stuffed and mounted. There are two main theories that give insight into an explanation of the exaggerated features of the restoration. A popular theory is that the taxidermist and the museum-keepers may have never actually seen a lion before, and did not know how they were supposed to look.

Yesterday was Lupercalia. On the full moon, sometime in mid-February, Lupercalia was celebrated in the Roman Empire. It was a festival of fertility, forgiveness and purification.

The legend has it that Siena - an ancient city in Tuscany, Italy - was established by Senius, son of Remus and nephew of Romulus. Therefore the symbol of Siena is a she-wolf breastfeeding Romulus and Remus. This symbol has been repeated in different parts of town and pieces of art.
