I truly always hated when people would say this kind of stuff because it always pushes the idea that people are not allowed to take care of themselves when they are own SNAP or receiving government care. As if they arent allowed to give themselves some small relaxation or treat since they're on SNAP
It annoys me when people say “they’re on SNAP but their hair and nails are done and they’ve got tattoos”. It’s extremely normal to do your own hair and buy press on nails, and tattoos literally last forever. What do tattoos someone got 10 years ago have to do with them needing to eat now
