Since we relaunched the @arseblog.com apps we have had a staggering 10 million interactions recorded.

Thank you to everyone who’s downloaded, reported bugs, and been patient while we fix up gremlins.

The apps are going to hopefully take on a bigger interactive role in the coming months!

Apple have finally approved the update which fixes the issue when tapping an article from a push notification and getting stuck.

We also made it iOS 26 Liquid Glass ready.

Working on the font size adjustments next!

Hey Android @arseblog.com users. Just wanted to see if you’re getting push notifications ok for news and blog articles?

We made some behind the scenes changes and the stats suggest they are coming but let us know!

We also made a change that will hopefully open the article from the push now 🙏🏻

Android @arseblog.com users, there was an update yesterday so please make sure you update to the latest version in the Google Play Store.

Push should now we working on the new platform for iOS on @arseblog.com, if any Android users could let us know if they’ve received this mornings blog push that would be great!

Have noticed a slight bug with iOS and not being able to close the article if you tap it from the notification. Will fix!

New version of @arseblog.com for iOS is now rolling out as an update in the AppStore.

Once this release has stabilised we’ll be reactivating push notifications across both platforms.

Good news! We (well, Andrew) identified and fixed the issue with the @arseblog.com app on Android. Give it a restart and it should be working as normal.

Also submitted a fix for the opening of links inside articles that were opening more than once.

iOS users, your new app is also about to drop!

We’ve identified the @arseblog.com issue on Android, thankfully it doesn’t require an update just a change in the back end.

Just bear with us and we’ll have that back working shortly.

New updates for Android @arseblog.com users now live.

Includes: Ability to share articles, layout, font and UI tweaks, dark mode fixes, fix for opening external content in articles, added author to articles and improvements to Arsecast player.

iOS users of @arseblog.com may currently be getting duplicate push notifications. We are having to migrate hundreds of thousands of devices to make sure the new Android app will work correctly and it appears this may be having an impact. So just bear with us while we sort that.
