I'm a 50+ single mom. Yesterday I was asked, "What do you do for fun?" And I realized, I have no idea. I have spent the last 10 years in survival mode.
How do I start fixing this?!

I am a special education teacher and GSA co-sponsor at a public school in a very red part of a very red state. I am the proud mom of 5 amazing humans some of whom are part of the LGBTQ+ community. I am trying to find my footing in this frightening and surreal new world.

I will not give in to fear, as much as I am afraid. I will continue to protect and promote what is right and good because it is more important now than ever.
I am choosing love, not ignoring hate.
