Suddenly our main character is now WAAAYY stronger than we originally thought. This is SUPER interesting and addictive to watch, part of the reason why I love them so much ♥️

...in comparison to the rest of the cast, who have all likely been introduced in a similar way. The next best thing is when they then subvert the viewers expectations based on the information that they've been fed. That character that cut a mountain in half? Oh they're taken down in one hit.

E.g destroying a large object, completing some sort of challenge. Bonus points if it's something the main character tried and failed at. This gives the viewer a frame of reference to how strong this new character is...
