For Crunchyroll, it depends. Some of them, like Solo Leveling and TBATE, it's functionally the same as the CR Originals like Meiji Gekken: 1874 or Tower of God, where they likely wouldn't have been made without.

This has only affected fall anime so far, so I don't think any dubs have been affected yet. But broadly, dubs aren't necessarily *more* popular, and are still negatively affected by this
