We did our parade today and as you’d expect we did it better without the need of tanks. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The narrowing is partially to blame, say 20-25%.

I can't help but feel that the people who ask these questions would be far more useful to society if they were in some other employment.

There's a French legal term that the Anglosphere has adopted: force majeure. Musk turning into a Neo-Nazi is an extraordinary and unforeseen event but one that is a probably missing from a force majeure clause.

One good decision doesn't make up for all the bad ones. It's already too late for five-year Keir and his party.

In view of the Court of Appeal verdict on Tuesday, is this settlement also illegal?

Herons and little egrets are closely related and eat similar food. The heron doesn't want competition.

Highway Code says:

Rule H2 - Rule for drivers, motorcyclists, horse drawn vehicles, horse riders and cyclists

At a junction you should give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning.
June 12, 2025 at 12:30 PM
Is there a law now that prevents any highway authority from painting white rectangles on a road? There's a 20 mph shared space zone here that predictably was abused by motorists and a zebra-style crossing was added without any beacons.

Obviously the first thing that should be cut is the 100% public subsidy for free roads.

There are hundreds of steam locomotives running on dozens of restored "preserved" railways up and down the country, happily recreating the outmoded form of transport that led to their closure in the first place.

Driverless or not, electric or not, a car is still a car and has no place in our towns and cities.
June 10, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Today truly is Black Tuesday. First the idiotic approval of Sizewell C and support for SMRs, now driverless car bollox. Labour is incapable of telling the difference between good and bad technology. We already have a vehicle better than any driverless car but chronically underused - the bicycle.

Awful decisions today. Starmer, Reeves and Miliband are british nuclear fools.
June 10, 2025 at 2:30 PM
I defy you. A terrible decision to go ahead with Sizewell C. Hideously expensive, simply not needed and no guarantee it will actually work due to unreliable reactor design and lack of cooling water. Anyone who is not anti-nuclear is in my opinion crackers.

Why is this bridge still open to motor vehicles?
June 6, 2025 at 2:53 PM
A falling population is not a bad thing, especially when it is still over 123 million.

Apart from the price, who thought bright red seats, trim and labels were a good idea?

Buses should stop where the Ramsay lorry is. Full stop.
