"Tell us a bit about yourself."
I mean that's a lot of pressure right out of the gate. We'll think about it.

- sometimes I run far
- other times I run fast
- most times I write patents
- at no time do I sleep
"A federal judge ruled today that the 'risk posed to USAID employees... is far more minimal than it initially appeared.'"

-there's a lot not to like among these posts, but kind reminder that judges don't "rule" on questions like this. Could be the judge's reasoning, but that's not a legal holding.

5-4 podcast is ALWAYS an excellent choice for answering "how did we get here?" They've got several campaign finance bangers, but this one is especially insightful (and bleak).

Imagine loving small government so much that you yearn for an autocratic king.

This is exactly right.

Democrats should lean into political theater to help confused onlookers orient themselves about who is and who isn't aligned with their interests.

In other words, the conservative legal movement has sucessfully created a Supreme Court that loves corruption so much it's not even worth bringing the case.

For those lagging behind the news, Chad Mizelle offered the following justification for dismissing the Eric Adams charges: "Given the DOJ’s abysmal history of losing at the Supreme Court, the odds were against the DOJ.”

Turns out what I said in jest is actually a real thing. Could be on the cusp of a whole new chapter in profiting off of suffering. Imagine the market opportunity!

But @fleerultra.bsky.social, all the Democrats need now is for someone to deliver that sweet coherent party messaging they spent the last month workshopping.

How hard could it be to carry that clear and convincing message to the masses??

5-4 is 10/10. However, I think this is a reference to another podcast of Peter's called "If Books Could Kill" (highly recommend). It also has a Michael.
