I think it's mostly a holdover from parent languages that used label statement pattern. It's likely that it gets compiled into if statements, but it could be a jump table. For me I use switches for cleaner code so I try not to do a lot in the matching case.

Pain points:
-prereq hell
-occasional CR server troubleshooting
-output inconsistency

Would be ideal if word templates could still be used to "mail merge".

It's mostly personal preference since it should be identical once compiled. Definitely times when you need to be explicit.

I think var has better readability and am so used to it that new() feels wrong.

It could be that I'm looking at it on mobile, but the beef stew chunks aren't next to the ground beef for oxidation. They're further down after chicken. Thank you for the work you do!

For me B is more legible. I think it might cause issues for the color blind if it's not configurable.

If it's just sending notifications blue sky, if you need discussion then reddit. Telegram/signal/discord could work. A page on your city/county site with SMS/email sign-up?
