Really making impactful issues a top priority I see…what a joke. No wait, a joke is funny- this is alarmingly stupid as is the man at the top of the pyramid of narcissism

Just disgusting

Can’t get too spicy with the takes- I would need to think up a new name

I don’t read the physical book and listen together- I sometimes will have a different book on kindle that I will read while I am listening to an audiobook thought

I do, for me audiobooks are a way for me to continue “reading” while doing other tasks during the day (cooking, cleaning, working out, data entry at work) so I can stay productive and enjoy a good book. My wife and I share an audible account and it has been a ton of fun reading books together too!

What the actual fuck? The man is a walking disgrace to humanity

I love seeing her draw attention to women’s basketball- I hope we get more stars like her as media shifts its attention to cover more of the WNBA and women’s college basketball. Her and Angel Reese have an engaging rivalry that will (hopefully) continue to draw attention from sports fans

I’ve heard that Way of Kings is a great fantasy read too. Also I know someone who just started Timeline by Michael Crichton- it got made into a move in the early 2000’s (wouldn’t recommend the movie- it was pretty garbage) but the book is pretty good.

I wasn’t yelling rigged lol I just said that looked like it was a first down and that they need to use the ball tracking technology as these conversations crop up more frequently during disputed line to gain situations. You’re team won, celebrate that
January 27, 2025 at 11:37 PM
I think at some point most professional sports need to move away from human referees being the leading voice in games. With the advancement of tracking and camera technology this should really be handled from a central hub to ensure uniform enforcement across games.
January 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
That would be an example of offering a rule change to improve accuracy of foul enforcement.
January 27, 2025 at 4:08 PM
But you failed to offer how a rule change improves those accuracies. You can’t site human error and subjectivity as a reason for the status quo in one regard but then lambast it in another scenario. For example: in order to curtail foul misses all plays should be screen for penalty after the play

Judging by the media and social media chatter today I would say the big takeaway from the game is that the Chiefs are on the verge of doing something no one has done before (3-peat) and that a lot of people want to see an improvement to spotting the ball. This angle is the one I see come up most
January 27, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Show me the other “easily observed” calls that went against the chiefs that would be improved in accuracy with rule changes. Bonus points if they were game altering, as the spot of the ball was. You are letting your fandom cloud your opinion. This isn’t a witch-hunt against your favorite team.
January 27, 2025 at 3:57 PM
You need only to break the plane for any yardage gained, that’s the forward progress rule. If you take yourself back then you lose the yardage but if you are driven back then you are spotted where forward progress was stopped. Fans are calling to limit the subjectivity- regardless of the team
January 27, 2025 at 2:29 PM
It takes events to make changes (Tuck Rule, Helmet to Helmet, Roughing the Passer) these changes happen because of fan outcry, which happens when a majority of fans see a call (or non-call) and use their collective voice. That call last night was another example that will get pointed to for a change
January 27, 2025 at 2:27 PM
It’s been made a “stink” for years. That’s my point lol you and other fans are immediately assuming this is anti-chiefs agenda. This was just the most recent example of the flaw. That call changed the game, if it is spotted for BUF they could score but it wasn’t and KC scored a TD with a short field
January 27, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Thank you for acknowledging that this is something that has been called for by fans for years. The NFL actually already has RFID in shoulder pads and footballs. Fans want the technology used. This isn’t (by me) a witch-hunt against the chiefs. I just don’t want human error to dictate game flows.
January 27, 2025 at 2:22 PM
The Chiefs are not being attacked here, this isn’t a KC issue. It is a sport wide issue. I am saying the method of someone on the sideline looking into a pile on the field and guesstimating the spot is outdated and flawed. If this was my Cardinals benefiting from the call I would say the same thing
January 27, 2025 at 2:20 PM
What? tracking in footballs has been clamored for by fans and analysts for years. This is the most recent example and it was involving a team you support so you feel attacked but this isn’t about the chiefs lol it’s about getting the calls right, this is just the most recent example of it.
January 27, 2025 at 2:15 PM
Yes- but I think it will lead to an increased accuracy in close call situations. More data points used to come to a conclusion does not often lead to a less informed or less accurate conclusion
