Statutes in some jurisdictions bar felons from law enforcement, education, and some other positions even after completion of time served. If those can be upheld this fits nicely under the same reasoning. I know I would rather a reformed felon pull me over or teach my children than former ICE.

Cant afford to be neutral on a moving train. Milquetoast critique of ICE murdering peaceful protesters exercising 1st and 2nd amendment rights doesn't undo both-sides-ing trans rights. I'll never vote for Newsom again. Abolish ICE is the centrist position. Repeal the USAPATRIOT Act would show spine.

I do the same thing and have the same worry. Please don't stop. There are so many positive feelings that go unspoken and we are all worse off for it. Normalize letting appreciative thoughts out of our heads.

I don't use social media much, but what little time I spent on twitter always left me feeling worse for it. What started as a trickle of the least invested users fleeing around when I deleted my twitter has now become a torrent. The self-sorting has reached a tipping point.

True, and imo paranoia has an unearned negative connotation. Feelings aren't wrong, only how they influence our actions. A healthy relationship with paranoia involves reflection on its causes and assessing the realistic probabilities, after which we can develop a proportional action plan.
