It would be to the RSEcon organiser's credit to at leat be transparent about this sponsor's identity in the "Find out more" section. At no point is "Nuclear arms manufacturer" mentioned, even though that's the first thing you see when going to the AWE's own website.

The lack of response to this is baffling (not only here but on SocRSE Slack as well). Maybe because people don't realise what AWE stands for (it's Atomic Weapons Establishment btw) and they're the UK's main nuclear warheads manufacturer. That alone should raise some serious ethical questions.
