Lol. Sure dude whatever -- whatever helps you face yourself in the mirror. Defeating Trump won't magically make everything better -- he's a result of all sorts of underlying issues, and you have to fight those as well as fighting the Republican party. People can do two things! :P

What the fuck do you even mean by my "sense of political purity". Do you mean my desire to not see my existence and my trans siblings' existence threatened lol. Historically conceding rights of people to advance other agendas has not worked out

Hahahaha. You do realize that those rights are being eroded across states -- them currently existing doesn't mean they are always going to be there. You're helping laying the groundwork for this. For both parties to be working together to eradicate trans people

You're not protecting them, you're just diluting the side that is supposed to protect them. You're making it easier for everyone to move towards harming them.

Opposing Trumpism requires solidarity across marginalized groups. By throwing some of those groups under the bus in attempted appeasement, you've picked a side -- and guess what, it's not the side you claim to be on. It's just Trump-lite

Lol. Activism isn't about a single vote every 4 years between two sides. Activism is about fighting against bigotry and oppression, and constantly working with and for marginalized folks so that you move away from having to hold your nose and vote for a lesser of two evils.

Love and respect are verbs -- actions that you take, not platitudes to speak into existence. Everything that you are saying here demonstrates a lack of love and respect for the trans community. If you're willing to throw away marginalized communities, you're walking down the path towards fascism

I feel like a lot of the reactions come from a place of picturing what it would look like if they were speed limited but no one else was. Are there situations where you need to speed up to match traffic to do things more safely? Yes, but you'll still be able to do that since they're limited too

I have literally never thought about them that way before, and that legitimately might help me retain Go better and have better strategy hahaha -- thanks!

Which is part of what Calvin is getting at I think -- it's not just about some games being strategically more difficult, it's about being used to certain rules types, or certain things just geling with your brain easier

For me, Go rules are much more confusing/less "sticky" than chess-like rules. I've played western chess for so long that the direct comparison isn't fair, but learning Chinese chess for example the rules are easier for me to learn and retain than the capture rules for Go and the things with "eyes"
