So, we’re going to be sending US prisoners to El Salvador now? And another report says Bukele is accepting them for money/concessions. Pretty sure that would be considered human trafficking. And what’s to stop the new regime from stopping with criminals?

Morning all and a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m happy to report that there will be fresh sourdough loaves ready today thanks to some established starter I ordered from KAF. Barney and Betty (starters 1 & 2) sadly are still not performing. Right now the dough is resting before I divide it later. #Sourdough

Morning all and a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m happy to report that there will be fresh sourdough loaves ready today thanks to some established starter I ordered from KAF. Barney and Betty (starters 1 & 2) sadly are still not performing. Right now the dough is resting before I divide it later. #Sourdough
Good day everyone! It’s another #SourdoughSaga update! Putting my main starter in the proofer overnight definitely helped! It doubled in size and was all full of bubbles. We are in a drought here and with the temps dropping I think I’m dealing with a humidity issue, or lack there of. 🧵

Well my old sourdough starter - I really need a name for it - did not rise much by the time I got home. So did another feeding of 113g starter, 113g H2O and a mix of flour at 90g AP/23g whole wheat. This time I added the water tray to the proofer. Been 4 Hrs and seeing some rise! 🧵 #SourdoughSaga

I also started a second starter, which I’m calling Betty. Apparently some people name their starters and Betty just popped into my head so we are going with that. Betty is made from 75g whole wheat and 75g water. Hopefully she takes off 🤞🏻 #sourdough #sourdoughsaga

Trying to get my sourdough starter going so I can make a loaf of bread for Thanksgiving. After a week it’s still performing poorly. It bubbles but just won’t rise. It did this to me last year, which caused me to stop baking. I’m determined this year though, but it’s frustrating. #baking #sourdough
