Hiding in plain sight. Another from the gorgeous woodland in Borrowdale where Autumn is really doing autumny stuff at the moment. The oak ar still a week or so from peak the birch are at their best.

A wee bit heart in mouth, I went up to see my tree last night. after being so gutted to see it obviously sick last year I've been a bit reluctant to go up there. But here she is, telling me not to worry, that despite being bark-stripped by the deer which often sleep under her, she's doing just fine.

Looks like IR but it isn't. An experiment in capturing an essence of spring in black and white. And back to ignoring compositional "rules" In this case, the rule of odds!

The whole Helvellyn massif with added St Sunday Crag from somewhere between the Knight and Place Fell.
Photography regrets? Not going up there when there was more snow.
