This trade war will not work. People buy from foreign countries because it costs less to do so. It costs more to produce the same products within the US. The net result, regardless of the source, is that American consumers will pay more, regardless of what happens: internal buying or import tariffs.

If Trump can't constitutionally, neither can Obama. However, since we're now in a constitutional crisis, wherein Trump does what he wants despite orders from the courts, does it matter? Whoever controls the military can just say, "It's to save our country," and just remain President.

He went ahead and deported many Venezuelans, despite a court order not to do so. I am for deporting criminals but not for our government blatantly defying court orders. This is a lawless, fascist administration we have now, the New Russia.
