I think Cozens would be better fit and wouldn't take away players from current core...Cozens would cost us a package of picks and prospects....Dobson would cost us someone like Cole and not gonna happen 🤔

I saw the KHL playoffs start on march 26th and AHL playoffs starting mid-April....so depending on how SKA does, it's realistic to think he could be over by then

I gotta admit, too. I was hoping for Eiserman the whole time till he was picked and didn't know a lot about Hage, but I love Hage story and motivation going forward...gonna to be a player

I personally think by this date next season, he is our best player, hands down. Optimistic but he looks special

I agree with you, Scott 💯. Laine has shown he loves it in Montreal and knows it's all about happiness for him and his family from here on. For the #habs perspective...look at difference he has made to line up and is a proven vet in room...would 5/45 (9mill AAV) sit well with all?

Evans seems like the guy if a team trades for him, and he bonds with the team for a playoff run he will end up resigning with that team... I can see 3-4 teams willing to give up a lot for him

Great article...and I'm not disagreeing at all. I do believe there is a number #habs don't wanna go over and declining a 1st for a pending UFA is crazy, and do believe there plenty of help on way with prospects, just not here yet and Jake is perfect roll player.

I definitely agree with your take on getting a 1st for what ever trade we've had recently. Question i have is...depth and best 4th line is big reason the #habs are successful this season. Who fills that roll next year? No one is ready yet for that roll on playoff team yet.

#habs still need to go through many stages before they are in a "Stanley Cup contenders" talk. And taking a step back waiting for more prospects until then smells like Buffalo Sabers game plan
