My first yard turtle of the year startled me a few weeks ago as I was getting into my car. Took me a few minutes to get it to move out from under the car and play ostrich in a bush so I could leave for work.

Was this tonight? I was able to see it Saturday night but we’ve had clouds over VA obscuring it from SoMD the past three nights.

So glad I saw this when I did. I wouldn’t have thought to even look before dusk. I stepped out my front door and could see pink. Long exposure but this was looking SW in southern MD.

Meant to check if clouds had cleared any at 2am but forgot to set an alarm. Walked outside at 430 and was able to see faint steaks naked eye from southern MD.
