Gunnar is your best hitter (and a LHH) so he should ideally hit 2nd. Agree that Ward would be better than Westy at #2; I wouldn’t hate Ward-Gunnar-Westy-Alonso as the top 4. Westy to me is either 3 or 6? Lots of hits to knock guys in but not a great OBP

They have a balanced lineup but all the RHH are like 3-6 hitters and all the LHH (now) are either 1-2 or 7-9, and you need a RHH to break that up. Westy’s a good hitter and fastest guy on the team now (I think) so I get it. Adley being back to a 1-2 hitter would help lineup construction a ton.

I saw South Park Bigger, Longer, and Uncut on opening night in a full theater and it was insane. I feel like I missed like half of the lines.

O’Neill is so frustrating b/c power/talent means you have to play him if healthy, but also have to have a 4th full time starter because he’s never healthy. I’ve seen a lot of things with Beavers starting and TON as bench/platoon and I think he’ll start when he can. Not super fair to Beavers but 🤷‍♂️

I’d love for him to come back and make it to the majors with the O’s, but if he sticks and even plays MLB for a while after all of the injuries and everything it would be pretty great

Legitimately still more than they have done in the past 😭

Whitaker had way more WAR, they were fairly close as hitters but Lou had a higher OBP, he was a much better defender, won a WS (Kent did win MVP, although he wasn’t even the best player on his team that year)…

Easier to do when there is zero pressure on the QB

My daughter is looking at colleges and I cannot even describe how quickly we (including her) would stop considering anyplace that “launched AI at an institutional scale”
December 4, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Well he would certainly be on board with the smaller/no gloves idea

The masses yearn for a modern day Ross Barnes
December 3, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Was he watching the video somewhere without air conditioning? Does he think that having air conditioning is indicative of a life of luxury rather than something that I would guess every office building in DC has?
December 3, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Or at least postponing his wake
December 1, 2025 at 5:58 PM
And next week he gets Baltimore, who cannot pressure the QB to save their lives 🤷‍♂️

Under
Slightly under
Over but not by a ton
Under by a little
Seems ok (lower if he ends up in the bullpen)

I’m with you/everyone that it seems crazy…but at the same time I cannot deny that she did look very cozy in that dog bed

May 7, 2005 - Surhoff was 40 and Sosa 36. Note that this was the 3rd game of the season, so that means this was the plan for that year…

This might also just be them buying more time to figure out what to do with Mountcastle? Unless they just don’t believe in Mayo anymore, I don’t know that Mounty on a 1-year deal means that they are definitely moving Mayo (same thing with Ward/Beavers really).
November 22, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Feels like they are literally buying more time to figure things out; they can work out a trade, have some injury insurance if something weird happens in the offseason, etc. Wouldn’t be shocked if Mounty ends up getting cut before the season if they don’t make moves. The perks of having money?

Anyone who thinks it’s too easy to get into the Hall of Fame now really needs to check out the stat lines of some HOFers who played with Frankie Frisch (or in the same league as him, in some cases)

Yes things went so well for the last enslavers on Haiti…
November 21, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Oh so now international free trade is good?
November 20, 2025 at 6:01 PM
This isn’t what you wrote, but why would having 4 theoretically good OF be a bad thing? If the “worst case” is O’Neill etc. stay healthy and Beavers plays part time…that’s fine? Ward is gone after this year anyway. Good teams have good depth - as it stands now why would they move any of those OF?
November 20, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Trimble is there to come up as a pinch runner for the playoff, since he has literally never been caught stealing as a pro 😂

For this year I think he’s there b/c they think he’s better than Carlson/Greg Allen/Daniel Johnson if we end up needing a 7th/8th OF again this season.
