Texan Country legend Lefty Frizzell was at his peak in the late 1940's & early 1950's He released this 10" LP in 1951 - his 2nd. Sadly beyond this point personal problems & demons plagued his career & he struggled to maintain star status. Eight Lefty classics are on this disc #CountrySky

Country singer Freddie Hart re-signed with Capitol Records in 1969 & also Buck Owens' songwriting & management company. This firmly put Freddie's music into the 'Bakersfield sound' & this 1971 LP is an excellent example of that time period. Freddie's backed by his band The Heartbeats #CountrySky

Radio WMFM at 106.3 FM in Petal MS was a Classic Country station from 1985-2001. Their library consisted of 1950's 60's & 70's Country hits. The station also served the Hattiesburg-Laurel MS region (Credit: RadioStickerOfTheDay) #CountrySky

Texas Country band Midland put out their 3rd album in 2022 It's a full album & follow-up to their 2nd EP the 2021 release "The Last Resort" 2 singles were issued + a 'Promo Only' version of the title track which was only available to Country radio. Jon Pardi guests on one of the singles #CountrySky

"Cat Country 96 & 107" are radio stations WCTO at 96.1 FM in the Lehigh Valley PA & WHYY 107.1 FM covering western NJ & The Poconos in northeastern PA. These 2 broadcasters have been Country music stations since 1997 "Cat Country" plays tunes from the 1980's to currents catcountry96.com #CountrySky

Country singer Anthony Armstrong Jones was active from 1968-1986. He recorded 4 albums & 12 singles during that time. Anthony Armstrong-Jones' 1st big hit was a cover of CCR's "Proud Mary" & his 1968 debut LP also carried that name. His 2nd hit "New Orleans" was also on this album #CountrySky

Country & #Bluegrass multi-instrumentalist Ricky Skaggs released this Country single in 1984. It was the title track of the same titled album. This song was Ricky's 9th #1 hit & remained on the charts for 13 weeks. The video created for the song featured Bluegrass great Bill Monroe #CountrySky

Country music duo The O'Kanes were Jamie O'Hara & Kieran Kane. Aside from solo careers, the duo was active from 1986-90. They put out 3 albums & 11 singles during this time. The O'Kanes released their 2nd album in 1988. The pair wrote all the songs except for a Jesse Winchester cover #CountrySky

Country singer Sonny James was able to boast about accomplishing sixteen straight #1 hits during 1970-71! Many of these appeared on 1 album. However this 1971 LP with backing by The Southern Gentlemen contained a number of these same chart-toppers + a couple of #Gospel tunes. #CountrySky

Truckin' tunes alert! Del Reeves launched his music career as a Rockabilly singer in the late 1950's before evolving into a Country artist in the early 60's. He's often known for his 'novelty songs' One of his biggest hits came out in 1965. This 45 reached the Top 10 on Country radio #CountrySky

Happy Birthday Duane Allman! He was the founder & lead guitarist of The Allman Bros. Band & a prolific session player. The Allmans offered a tasty brew of Country, Blues & Rock on their recordings & concerts. Their most Country-oriented LP was their 4th album released in 1973 #CountrySky

With the escalating problems involving scammers impersonating Country music celebrities George Strait put this out on Youtube via his official channel. I've only encountered 2 other Country artists with similar statements on their websites. The problem is rampant here on BlueSky #CountrySky

Country & #Gospel group The Statler Bros. hosted a TV variety show from 1981-98 on TNN & were also regulars on Johnny Cash's ABC-TV show 1969-71. The Statlers released their 23rd LP in 1982 It was the group's final album to feature original tenor & guitarist Lew DeWitt before he retired #CountrySky
