There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

41 years and two days ago, John Thompson, Jr., became the first coach to win an NCAA men’s basketball title. Not for nothing, but he was a DEI hire — a qualified candidate who just happened to be a person of color.

John Feinstein, for me, was the person you idolized professionally and couldn’t believe you became colleagues with later in life. He was a legendary sports writer when there were such things, a prolific author and a Dad. Godspeed. Can’t believe you’re gone.

John Feinstein, sports commentator and best-selling author, dies at 69
He had a long affiliation with The Washington Post and wrote books including “A Season on the Brink,” about Indiana University men’s basketball coach Bob Knight.

"Leave the ball, will you George?"

Gene Hackman was a Plaza Hotel doorman in NYC when his former Marine CO saw him and told him he'd amount to nothing. Within six months, he joined the Pasadena Playhouse, moved back to NY and changed his life. Godspeed a great one.

The truth does not mind being questioned. A lie does not like being challenged.

Hey, a lot of democracies and former nations would die for a run of 248 years. Be proud of yourself, America; it was a good country while it lasted.

The more the craziness of the past month heads toward the courts, the more I realize that someone must have signed a non-aggression pact with attorneys on both sides -- because they are the ones cleaning up the next four years.

I told Elon Musk his father should have used a prophylactic today on his site. I don't like that side of me. So I deleted my Twitter account. I'm here to stay.

Coach Strom has been coaching at Haskell Indian Nations school for 25 years. Fired Friday amid the D.O.G.E. purge, he's determined to finish the season without a salary to ensure his kids have a season. This is @BillyMillsGold's alma mater. Please help if you can.

Proud to have been baptized Episcopalian today. Proud to say my father, a recovering alcoholic, graduated from the seminary at 50 and served as a priest in the Anglican Church the last 20 years or so of his life.

The last time an NFL QB cost himself this many millions, Tom Brady was buying Sam Bankman-Fried’s line about how much his crypto currency was gonna be worth. Sam Darnold went from a top-tier, quarter billion QB right back to somebody else’s emergency stop gap until they find a real franchise QB.

Anyone who knows Sam Darnold’s family, tell them to stay off social media until, like, August. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a QB who’s had a Pro Bowl season look so lost in the most important game of his career. He’s not even looking for his receivers; he’s looking for his mommy. Painful to watch.

It was good to see the Commanders win today. I was at Washington’s last playoff victory — also in Tampa — 20 years ago. They have a lot of great fans who deserved the feeling they had today. It doesn’t change the past 20 years, but it feels like a better day.
