Non aligned cynic into fact based thinking, dabbling in technical stuff and thinking of learning empathy.
Since we could extend that logic to include anyone that enables fossil fuel companies to prosper (and presumably also contribute to wildfires) selling insurance to those people, drivers, is wrong too. Dogmatism prevents clear thinking.

Regretfully no. There's no evidence they reached much of North America except for a brief stay in Newfoundland, Canada. Also, those explorers hailed from Norway.

How depressing.

Clearly the answer is yes. Isn't that why States have the right to make their own laws?

Seems a rather useless piece of information without names or at least a dating app id.

Put that way one would have to choose the jelly donut over broccoli. This may be a simple minded one dimensional take on the world.

Thanks for the warning

I have to disagree. The antinatalists did not present arguments for their case especially the ravings about avoiding future suffering for persons that don't exist which is not coherent enough to have any moral impact.

100% equal protection, even for those who did not vote as you did
December 9, 2024 at 3:25 PM
It is off topic though exactly which topic it is off of is unclear. Which patriarchy are you referring to?

A nitpicky point, as far as I know Holmes vs Doyle is premiering on PBS stations in the US, not across all of North America. Many of us in Canada will joyfully watch on a US PBS station. Can't speak for Mexico, the other part of North America. Take care.

What is a component vs a pattern?

5 point font printed in 35 different languages no doubt.

I suspect that your deathbed worries will be much more immediate and tightly focused on the next breath but if not be careful not to get into a spiral (a death spiral) worrying about what you think are the right things.

Looks more like a howling dinosaur to me

Disabled mine only because I didn't want to look immature.

IBM 370/168. Such a joy coding a virtual system.

This does seem to be a prime reason for installing Linux, a sense of accomplishment. Three days is very good.

Approximately 50% of the US votes were for Trump. To imply they are all law breakers or tax fiddlers is just childish nonsense.
November 24, 2024 at 6:29 PM
Exactly. So making statements like 'there has to be life elsewhere' or 'we are alone' are wild guesses.
November 24, 2024 at 6:23 PM
I'm wondering what 'type' you have been classified as. Also, males should not use female restrooms.
November 24, 2024 at 6:21 PM
Yes
November 23, 2024 at 1:41 PM
What other forms of life could we reasonably expect to exist?
What are the conditions that allowed those other forms to flourish?
What is the probability that these conditions exist elsewhere in the universe?
Without knowing this we can only make fantasy guesses about our solitude.

I would like to see social media as a place where you can choose to both debate and argue politics and such AND share things that make you happy AND things that provoke you. Right now Bluesky seems scared of the first, overwhelmed with the second and unsure about the third.
