... my suggestion of Noduled Fan-foot is not 'crap', it is based on a translation of the scientific name and therefore has logic and isn't a parochial name based on the happenstance that led it to end up in an MV on the south coast of England.

...I advised against kid's names, or any other family member as there's no precedent: but if Steve insists on this, then that's his choice, he'll just have to explain it in Ent Rec :)

As I'm being mentioned here, might as well throw in my thoughts for the record. Yes, this is Steve's decision, but as I'm writing it up for Ent Rec I'm trying to steer the naming process. Keen's or Sway Fan-foot would tread a path that many a first for Britain has followed in the past...

It isn't clear what BC is for anymore. Having disposed of reserves and science staff, there isn't much left of any substance. I've always had an ambiguous relationship with BC as a CMR, and have now stopped my subscription for good.
