When we said extreme storms with severe flooding and extreme wind damage will be hitting the UK and Ireland and Western Europe for most of 2024, we didn’t quite expect it to already start on the 2nd day of 2024 with Storm Henk.

2024 will be a year of severe flooding and extreme wind damage.

As I put it last year in my blunt advice to Irish cities, “Your goal SHOULDN’T be to replace a million fossil fuel vehicles with a million electric vehicles. It should be to replace a million fossil fuel vehicles with 250K electric vehicles. The main answer HAS to be FEWER cars."

There are many reasons why I bang on about natural regeneration over planting.

Here's just one: very often, even when so-called 'native' trees are planted, they're imported from abroad.

Biodiversity isn't *just* about species, but their local varieties.

Just finished reading "A Life on Our Planet" by Sir David Attenborough. I enjoyed his vision for the future. Any recommendations for must-reads?

It is inspiring that in the face of all the issues, there is a commitment to justice and our planet's well-being! I love seeing individuals and organisations unite for a vision of a world where our earth and life are sacred.🌱🌍
