Artist, Terror Management Band, books, mostly.
I feel like Fugazi is still looking over my shoulder at the grocery store; it’s not a bad way to live.

I was gonna say that a couple of your records pretty cogently summed it up in real time, but looks like prior comments have covered that.

Also one could do worse than just watching the last 5 minutes of the 70s Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the Donald Sutherland invents black metal part.

Yeah, it’s fantastic. Also I wanted Weapons to be as good as the trailer. Something about it kept me just short of enthralled.

In Paris, tourist trap restaurants are easy to spot because the entrance is inundated with fake flowers.

We call it “Athena’s Toilet”. Basically super oily baked veg and chicken/tofu with a big olive emphasis. Over rice.

I think it’s just a different thing altogether- my favorite comics are about the drawing; most of them aren’t stories in the strict sense. Chris Ware for example is a writer’s treasure, but let’s say, Mat Brinkman, illustrates dreams or hallucinations in a way that can’t be corralled by narrative.

I guess I’m generally agnostic on the issue as I’ve yet to die; but I’m the keeper of a body of short stories by a writer well regarded in our minuscule underground which I’ve been pestered to publish, and won’t, because he was obv not in top form while writing them. It would be a disservice.

But is there yet a YouTube playlist of the whole record, but only drums? I’d try that.

It’s true- but maybe that’s why so much great music came from there?

I’d switch to tea before paying $9 to get Busted. No disrespect to the Bustelo Cafe in Miami, somehow they do it great. Also shoutout to every Cuban place pulling excellent thimbles with Pilon, it’s all magic.

Side question, Jacob. With the rise of coffee prices, whats your home brew these days?

Leftover black dal with raisin coconut rice, mango pickle.
