I still have vivid memories of what happened after the Colonial Pipeline attack, when Biden and Putin were in a joint news conference and Biden basically said "Nice oil industry you guys have, be a shame if anything happened to it - like it getting blown up..."

Also, it's not a "what if" situation. Many major technology evolutionary jumps got started because of a bubble.

Dot Com, automated trading, online retail, blockchain (as used by business today), etc. This isn't abnormal. Overblown tech comes, bubble bursts, viable tech remains.
