Retired former business owner. Geelong Vic.
These two pics taken on same day a few weeks back. Oranges at Coles, 5 times the price of those at the local greengrocer. Now, ACCC tell me there is no price gouging by supermarkets.

36 properties and a large share portfolio: Does anyone seriously believe that Dutton would be in favour of changes to Capital Gains concessions, Negative Gearing, etc. You could bet he would be keen on reducing taxes for the wealthy though!

Very Good Question. Last shop at Coles, mid-January. Oranges $9.90 / kg. Local small fruit shop $1.99 kg. that is FIVE TIMES the price of a small retailer - now tell me they are not price gouging. With their purchasing power, they should be the cheapest. A full inquiry is needed!

Is it just Price Gouging or am I missing something.
Oranges today: Coles, West Geelong $9.90 kg. Local fruit shop $1.99 kg. BTW - all other items on the docket were cheaper at the independent.

Here in Geelong, 3 houses adjacent to a Coles supermarket, and owned by Woolworths have been empty for years. And Woollies recently fronted a Senate enquiry where they claimed that are not 'land banking'.
