I can’t believe it’s been 2 full months for myself…still carry around vivid memories of it.

Interesting theory. That fast-strum guitar technique is a cornerstone of the whole post-rock genre. SW seemed to start gravitating that direction around the time of Insurgentes.

Just saw him here in AZ on Tuesday and I was pleased that he spent about 75 minutes performing solo material to start show.
But I do concur, lots of his recent releases are indistinguishable. Not bad, per se, just very similar thematically/melodically.

Hahaha…. It’s probably the most ugly face imaginable slapped on a pair of boobs, perhaps they’re letting it slide because it almost does the opposite of arousal.

Hshaha… I actually saw someone (from Europe) post this on Facebook before I went to bed yet the link didn’t work for me cuz I was still stuck on Nov 13th here. So I rushed off to sleep so I could wake up to this. What a splendid start to a Friday!

It’s definitely much harder for modern bands of all genres to be inventive when so much of the musical landscape has already been mapped out. Artists from the classic era had the benefit of exploring uncharted realms.

I’m all in on both, quite honestly. Fortunately, in real life, we don’t need to settle for just one or the other.
But I must be one of the last Rush fans on earth who hasn’t gotten on board with clockwork angels yet. I can’t explain why. I’ve given it tons of spins.
