If you read the article this took place at their number one supplier and their parts probably made it into your vehicle too. Its one of many reasons that the US should keep manufacturing in country as much as possible.

I’d be inclined to feel some sympathy for consumers here but this is the company that used indentured servants and people who were human trafficked in Japanese factories as late as 2015. www.reuters.com/investigates...

I voted for Harris. I got news for her supporters and Democrats. I would not have voted for her, or Biden before her, if we pretty much had any boilerplate historically normal Republican running for president. The days of Democrats getting my vote just because they’re the lesser evil, is over

The settlement is so fucking stupid for the big conferences its not even funny. I doubt it will hold up even if it legally is workable because the B1G and SEC would be dumb to slit their own throats in the #2 rev sport

She’s tight with Brad, & is trying to help fundraising, but as far as I know, she’s not taken any direct steps to encourage certain donors to donate to that instead of the AD, & I’m pretty sure Swarm donations don’t count for seat licensing. $6 million NIL is a light number for a B1G school

IMO Iowa’s kept NIL at arm’s length for too long because the administration has long been staffed by goody2shoes instead of SEC killers. Some schools are blessed with billionaires, others are just better at getting slush funds together by redirecting donor funds from facilities into NIL as TV$ rises

I would take solace in knowing that its a good thing for Iowa administrators to get their butt shot off in some of these situations so that they can understand and prepare better for the marketplace next time they have to hire someone. Beth knows next time she’d better have more NIL lined up

I mean, we’re 1 season removed from a Big Ten title appearance and 2 in 4 years. I want great teams too and CFP appearances, but this is Iowa. We’re just not that close to making a change at football HC

I think this season is more about showing proof of concept on Off, bringing the passing game back from the dead, rather than a record referendum, considering the S.O.S. I also have to believe that there’s enough trauma in Iowa’s budget over the MBB job and they want to make sure that isn’t repeated

Bowlsby was okay…but you look at Iowa’s athletic dept back then and it was a committee hell back then for an AD. Zero chance to hire Stoops when 8 people have to sign off on a decision. Jfc

I do not understand this one. A big with limited range that can’t protect the rim is…unaffordable? I think that’s strange, hard to build a roster with a player like that even if he offers you quite a bit on offense. Have a feeling he’s going to come off the bench at the next stop unless his game +++

I mean, keep only as much of the current roster as they think they’ll need. I’d like the new coach to do quite a bit different and remake the team in their image and not Fran’s frankly. Really hoping physical guards and a real rim protector are part of the plan

Agreed but, really…this is sports, not a referendum on the qualities of a man. It is okay to make a coaching change for any reason. These guys get paid enough to dry their eyes with hundred dollar bills at the end of the day.

There’s a lot of schools in P5 that won’t be able to fully fund the max student athlete benefits from the house settlement, let alone do substantial NIL on top of that. Iowa is one of those schools, and can pay top dollar for coaches on top. More attractive than you realize.
