Nobody is going to want to hear this, but there are popular male left leaning spaces that have historically been shouted down as misogynist. Hell even Bernie and his fans were slandered as misogynist.

Once again - as a man, anytime I go on a platform I’m recommended a mix of videos. When I first sign up, I’m guaranteed to be served right wing or right wing adjacent content. I am not saying these don’t exist, I am saying that the platforms have a right wing push lean towards men. Also…

I’m passionate about this type of stuff and currently traveling and have the time to throw in my thoughts on the topic.

I focus most of my time in my community and volunteering in different areas. I do agree community engagement is where the change can best occur.

This is a debate about strategy towards a blind spot that everyone is acknowledging as a problem and how to fix it.

There are leftist women who have opposing views to yours as well and would agree there needs to be a change in messaging / strategy. I do understand the frustration though.

This goes way beyond messaging, as it’s both economic and cultural.

However to focus on that I’d say it lies more in creating spaces that men feel they can connect with (funny, informative) that include figures demonstrating an alternative view of masculinity than what they’re being fed currently.

Part of this is rooted in what men are conditioned to be, and how that clashes with economic reality.
