I make games and puzzles and things.
There are about 6400 votes in King County left to count, with 1700 in challenge. No idea how many of either of those are in Seattle. Anyone telling you they know how an unknown but completely nonrandom sample of that size will play out is blowing smoke. It’s a tossup. (I’d rather be Katie, though.)

If you live in Seattle, go here and track your ballot. Make sure it is counted. Because this mayoral race, which Katie Wilson now leads by 91 votes, is epically close.

Here's a new game theory piece on the Democrats' post-landslide capitulation and the impending fate of Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Share and comment as desired. Even if it's just a heavy sigh.

This coach has lost the locker room.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

My favorite basketballer of my youth, Sonics legend Lenny Wilkens, has passed. He and the Sonics came to my school in the '80s and we played for him. In the band, I mean. I played glockenspiel. Anyway, he was the best. Seattle is greatly diminished by his loss.

Sometimes you know which Senators will be remembered by history. Moynihan, Kennedy, Dole, Thurmond, Inouye, Sanders, Warren. For one reason or another, they matter.

I look at this list and think, "I will never remember any of these people. Except one wore a hoodie. They had power and did nothing."

I'm not sure I understand the process, but I think it's this:

1. 5+ Dem Senators demand a meeting of the conference chair.
2. Schumer, the chair, must call a meeting in 3 days.
3. 24+ Dems vote for anyone else.
4. Schumer is replaced.

If I knew I'd be seen as caving to Trump, I'd do that.

Now.

So nobody's ever gonna put themselves in position to do the "lose the primary, lose the general" thing again, right?

Right, Andrew?

If you go vote for the Democrats today, think of it as giving Dick Cheney a little kick in his journey down the stairs to Hell.

If you live in Federal Way, can you spare a vote for my friend Nathan Orth, who is running for City Council Seat 2? We need more young, energetic, right-minded people like him in our politics. nathanjorth.com
