Interesting! No one really talks about this "x-factor" when a player has a down year. Especially us craven fans, who think it is our money going into the contracts and demand the ROI be acceptable. Makes you wonder if this is brought up in contract negotiations as a way to "water down" offers.

I'm not sure if this is a factor, but a data point - he is a (fairly) new father. It is hard for us fans to know the impact new parenthood has on athletes, and clearly, every athlete is different in their personal lives. This is a good window into his: youtu.be/uID6NbRlnDI?...
