As a basketball fan, I found the 4 straight Cavs/Warriors finals pretty boring, but ratings were booming. Now we’ve had 6 different winners in a row and there’s a ratings issue… idk maybe it’s a simple as needing a dominate team/player to drive interest/hate

Would be so cool if there were some sort of regionally-defined conferences where you played (almost) everyone in your conference and then had a championship where the winner went to like a playoff of some sort to play the other champions. Might sound looney but feel like that idea could have legs
