Too much made of not making early signings. Always nice to have them but no big deal. If they sign them late, they'll be fit and ready to go. They've been playing football since they were 10. They understand tactics and different styles of play. They'll just slot in

I walked it down from the city centre. You can only imagine what it's like on a match day. It'll be amazing. You could hear all the Everton songs coming from the bars, a brilliant atmosphere.

The feel will be different again when there's flags on the lamp posts leading up to the ground, and when the ground is fully branded. A badge on the front of the stadium, pictures on the concourses and something on the seats.

It was baltic last night but I didn't feel that cold in the stadium. Potentially the roof kept the wind out. As soon as I left the stadium the wind made it feel colder as it whipped off the mersey

Our Chorley Toffees club season ticket seat. An amazing night. So many in the pubs near the ground. Easier to have a beer in town and walk the 20/25 mins to the ground

14 hours to kick off and I'm already excited for the test event at Bramley Moor. Gate opens at 17.30. I've a feeling I'll be 10,000th in the queue by then!

Harry has managed to get a ticket for the Derby. His first and last at Goodison. I've warned him about what to expect. I suppose he'll find out for himself. Hopefully a night he won't forget in a hurry

Only just seen MOTD. Loved watching the reaction of the players on the bench and staff at the end. It gives a glimpse into the team spirit that's been created in literally 2 weeks

Massive game this weekend. Others around us have tough games. Picking up a point away against a very good Brighton side would be a good result. 3pts would be better!

The criticism Moyes gets for playing unexciting football from pundits is unfair. We weren't just 'hard to beat' when he was in charge. We played some great football. Cahill, Arteta, Osman, Pienaar, Baines, Mirallas produced some amazing football here & in Europe.

If you're after something to take your mind off Everton, I'd highly recommend Dart Kings on Sky. You'll love it if you're a child of the 70s and 80s. Bristow, Bobby George, and Jocky Wilson, Great documentary. I only thought of Everton briefly when they mentioned 1985!

Seems to be quite a bit of optimism on here today about the game. The odds are against us but you never know. Maybe an exciting week ahead with the takeover is helping to ease the pain!

Just finished this and loved it. One for you to spend your Christmas voucher on. You sense his excitement, like many of us, when he signed and we beat Newcastle on that sunny opening day. Shame we couldn't kick on after that.
