If he was trying to prevent play resuming with Liverpool down to 10 men then that’s a totally different kettle of fish to wasting time per se. Liverpool make the sub, referee adds the time. No advantage gained.

It doesn’t literally burn your off. Whereas the chicken is literally having its face burnt off.

They’ll do nothing more unless they’re forced to do so. The same way they’ve behaved since the very start.

Andrew is no longer a prince. And all it took was for Virginia Giuffre to kill herself. The royal family would have done nothing if not forced to do so. The whole stinking lot of them should go.

Thanks for that data. I wasn’t aware of the stats but I could have easily postulated them. The hostages/prisoners disparity is the most egregious.
However, none of that alters my compassion for the author’s story: on this, of all days.

This is an incredibly moving piece from a person who has suffered/is suffering terrible tragedy. Surely you can empathise with that? You can empathise at the same time as feeling outrage on behalf of the Palestinian people. She is telling HER story. Listen to it.

I see. Thanks for that. I’m obviously not watching enough telly!

I give in. Do you want to explain that to me?

There definitely is Jonathan; I’ve seen it. She was running for Leigh Harriers. There are some stills here but I think they’re taken from a video: www.leighharriers.org/congratulati...

He’ll be worth significantly less in January with a few months left on his contract. He’ll be well remunerated for the saving to Liverpool. Plus, he’ll get an EPL winners medal.
September 1, 2025 at 11:12 PM
He wants to go to Liverpool. I’d bet on it.
September 1, 2025 at 11:03 PM
He’ll be at Liverpool in the January transfer window.

United have only ever spent money they have earned. State run clubs and those owned by sugar daddies are different: they can use unearned funds from almost limitless resources. With PSR/SCR rules United should eventually regain an advantage.

We’ve lost to non league in the past!

I do understand the plight of Evertonians. I was born and spent my early years in Walton Village, just over half a kilometre from Goodison. Everyone I knew was an Evertonian! But for my dad so would I have been. But I take your point. From a long lasting egality, Everton’s fortunes have plummeted.

Fair point Nayson!! I guess we do tend to see things through rose-tinted glasses!l (grey-tinted?)!

Close enough if the decimal points have been simplified to one place.

I’m a Liverpool fan. We suffered 30 years of failing to win the title after decades of success. These things inevitably come in cycles. Inevitably, your time will come again.
August 28, 2025 at 10:53 AM
I did say Newcastle were very physical, overly so. Liverpool reacted to that. I’m not disputing it. It does not suit Liverpool to play in a very physical game. Overall, the way the game was played limited Liverpool. They were poor. Newcastle can’t carry on playing that way. It’s unsustainable.
August 26, 2025 at 5:26 PM
Your, self-assigned, pseudo even-handedness is merely a device for you to give your own views unwarranted credibility. You really can’t be taken seriously when it comes to critiquing a game involving Newcastle. I’ll admit the same from my perspective.
August 26, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Why? Your conclusion is a non Sequitur.
August 26, 2025 at 2:10 PM
It’s not a question of fault: it’s a reaction.
August 26, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Not me. I said they responded to Newcastle’s approach. The last thing Liverpool wanted was a physical battle.
August 26, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Liverpool came to play a game of football - that’s the last thing Eddie Howe wants because he knows they won’t win it. On a strategic point, Newcastle won’t be able to keep that kind of performance up. There’ll be too much fatigue and too many injuries. And they won’t be as motivated as last night
August 26, 2025 at 1:46 PM
I don’t acknowledge your point about the Newcastle injuries which I assume you’re attributing to Liverpool foul play. I don’t know whether they were contact injuries or not but most contact is not a foul.
