We used to invest in companies we thought would grow and our stock would go up over time. it was much better than the daily casino the stock market has become, where all that matters is stock price and not the company's actual fundamentals. So, wages and product quality goes down so stock can go up

I didn't say there shouldn't be investors, they shouldn't be prioritized. I would argue, at least in the past, prioritizing creating a great company ended up being good for investors as the company would grow.
