Will the trade deadline be quieter because of the playoff cap? My understanding is that players acquired during the season only count a pro-rated amount towards the cap, but count full cap value in playoffs. If true, I think less players will move and the prices might be a bit lower.

Doesn’t seem like it. Too bad. I was planning to unsubscribe last year, but then Mirtle went back to full time writing, so that was enough for me to stay on. Not as good as it used to be, but still worth the $$ for me at least.

Agreed. I don’t see the upside to starting him in the NHL. They have plenty of lower end depth, so he isn’t improving the team if he’s on the roster.
