"The lesser of two evils is still evil" is an excuse.

If we are engaged the politicians will bend to our wills in order to be elected. If we don't engage the politicians will bend to the wills of the people who are engaged.

Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark sue these a-holes into the ground. Franklin is not public domain.

I think I've survived Whamageddon for 4 or 5 years now.
Not listening to music radio may be a deciding factor. I'm only likely to hear it when I'm out shopping or at a restaurant.

Haven't we seen this movie before, in North Carolina after the 2011 redistricting.
And there was a spin off of this movie in Trump v United States.

Ah, you sweet summer child.

FDT is obsessed with hurting and killing people.
November 20, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Sadly, no. That would require courage on the part of the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet. Not gonna happen.

But even if it did, then when the inevitable challenge occurred it would require 2/3rds of both houses of Congress to ratify his removal from office. Double not gonna happen.

Yes
November 20, 2025 at 1:58 PM
No. House Republicans should have refused to approve the CR with the provision in it. Senate Republicans will not approve the repeal.
November 20, 2025 at 1:57 PM
The. Republicans. Were. Never. Going. To. Reinstate. The. ACA. Subsidies.
November 20, 2025 at 5:43 AM
Was the outcome better than keeping the government shut down and prolonging the suffering? I say yes because Republicans made it clear they were not going to restore the subsidies, but you probably think peoples' suffering should have prolonged. 4
November 20, 2025 at 3:30 AM
Were Republicans enjoying making people suffer to put pressure on the Democrats? YES. Was the final outcome perfect? Of course not because Republicans are in control. 3/4
November 20, 2025 at 3:30 AM
Did it end all the suffering? NO. Did it restore the healthcare subsidies that Republicans took away in order to give more money to the ultra wealthy? No. Were Republicans going to do anything to end the suffering? NO. 2/4
November 20, 2025 at 3:30 AM
We got a "senate that opens a government and gets nothing out of it" because a literal handful of Democrats changed their votes in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of federal employees, poor people, elderly people, disable people, and children. 1/4
November 20, 2025 at 3:30 AM
I hope your future is better than that.

I'm finished with this conversation.
November 19, 2025 at 8:25 PM
When it all burns down how do you think your life will be better?
Do you think there will suddenly be acceptance in that dog-eat-dog world.

I suspect your life would be worse. But I will do what I can in this imperfect system to oppose the purely evil country you envision. 1/2
November 19, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Why are you blaming Democrats for what Republicans are doing to your community in a red state???

That's EXACTLY why you should want Republicans out of power. BECAUSE THEY HATE YOU.
November 19, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Who's, "yall [sic]"? The people who vote in primaries and engage candidates? We'll that's a fundamental feature of a democratic republic.

"Y'all" tells me that you don't participate in primaries. If you don't participate then don't complain about the choices that those who do participate make.
November 19, 2025 at 8:02 PM
People like you are simply not satisfied because Democrats don't fix everything that Republicans break fast enough to suit you. The problem is destruction is always easier than construction.
November 19, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Yes, worse for all those people, and everyone else whom Republicans choose to scapegoat and kick down at, including their constituents who are not members of the power elite.

And, you obviously haven't paid attention or aren't old enough. Democrats do fix Republican problems. 1/2
November 19, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Republicans are actively trying to institute theoratic autocracy. That is MUCH WORSE than a bad Democrat who must convince other Democrats to support them. 3
November 19, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Republicans are actively worse on all liberty standards than even the worst Dem presidential option. I will vote in the Democratic primaries for the person I think is the best candidate running (unlikely to be Newsom), and then I will vote for the least worse candidate in the general election. 2/3
November 19, 2025 at 5:25 PM
I don't know what kind of influence you think I have but, "lowering everyone's standards" is a bit much even for hyperbole.
Unless the Democratic candidate is actively worse than the Republican, I'm voting for the Democrat. 1/3
