Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

Unprecedented times - my twin brother woke me up at 5 AM this morning with the news of the US attacking Caracas. This was apparently done without Congressional approval. Im concerned, but also concerned about the military use of Puerto Rico given its history of Vieques.

It is obscene to me that people were ready to make conspiracy theories about what happened at Bondi Beach. Plain and simple, a father and son made the terrible decision to terrorize Sydney’s Jews. Call out antisemitism for what it is, period.

It is an apparent desire to increase citizen diplomacy and the role of non-state actors as diplomats amongst the international community. It is vital we continue conversations to hold space for them especially within the UN system. #MeetTheParties #IPI

Thankful to attend International Peace Institute’s panel on Women, Peace and Security in UN Peacekeeping. One of the grand ideas I picked up today was that militarization reinforces stereotypes of our uniformed women which makes conflict management less likely and invested in.

Last year they claimed “illegals” were voting, without any evidence.

They used fear mongering to push for voter suppression laws.

Now they claim “illegals” are getting free healthcare, again without any evidence.

So they can make healthcare unaffordable for millions of Americans.

Enough.

For the first time in a matter of months, copper futures hits over $5 on the market. Even though supply is decreasing, the demand is getting higher but steadily high. It seems only the Americans and the Chinese are demanding it more while Europe slow its demand.
