This afternoon Vladdy caught a pop-up in foul territory and then immediately threw it home to prevent the runner from coming in. I didn't think the runners could advance on a foul ball, even after the catch.

'Position' shows PR, what does that stand for?
It can't be 'Pinch Runner' because he never made it to base, and since he had yet to be assigned a spot on defense they needed a placeholder.

When it comes to what constitutes an official 'bat around inning', are you team 9 or team 10?
Is it enough to send the entire line up to the plate (9) or does at least one batter need to get to the plate twice (10)?

During last night's blowout win against the Rockies my wife asked me 'why are they the Colorado Rockies and not the Denver Rockies?'. I didn't have an answer for her.

@wilnerness.bsky.social what is the purpose of the 'dropped 3rd strike' rule? Usually rules are created to solve a problem (infield fly) but I can't think of any reason to necessitate this one.
