They cut half of the Department of Education workforce. In what world do you think they’re not already cherry-picking the parts of government they like? And you want to rubber stamp that status quo?

Anecdotally: I actively pay attention and am certain I’m missing the totality of the problem. Even anti-Trump voters likely know “something bad” is going on but don’t comprehend the impact. Media writ large hasn’t yet shown the ability to contextualize the scale of the issue in “unison”.

So, you’re saying *anyone* could put *anything* in a CR/funding bill and, as long as there’s the threat of a shutdown, you will vote to approve it? Anything? Does that really make sense to you?

What do you think the disconnect(s) is, between how Dem leaders and Dem voters see the Trump situation, that leads to the two groups to seemingly be at such great odds about how to respond?

I understand you have to balance a lot of considerations to make that decision, but do you have any concern that by not attending you/other members will reduce your “audience” to only people otherwise likely to engage with you via social media?
