Morning friends! If you liked yesterday, you will really like today's weather...well, after the cold start this morning. Temperatures this afternoon bounce up into the 50s today with plenty of sunshine. A little wind will pick up out of the south later today, but not too strong.

A windy and chilly end of the week with sunshine and temperatures only climbing up into the 30s for highs. When you factor in the wind that will gust over 30+ mph throughout the day...we will have wind chill values in the 10s and low 20s.

We are looking at a soggy weekend. We will be dry on Saturday morning before the steady rain fills in for the afternoon and evening. We will see some dry time on Sunday morning with warm and windy conditions before the cold front brings showers and a few thunderstorms.

A really nice afternoon ahead of us on this Friday with sunshine and temperatures into the 30s and 40s. Get out and enjoy the sun with warmer temperatures as we have an unsettled weekend forecast ahead of us!

It's a cold start (it's winter) out the door this morning. With the breeze picking up today, we will see highs into the 30s. A clipper system coming in later today will increase the clouds and maybe provide a chance of a flurry or a spot of drizzle this evening.
January 16, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Here is my latest forecast for the snow chance tonight into Saturday morning. Most snow across southern Delmarva...especially for Accomack and Northampton county.
January 10, 2025 at 9:28 AM
First thoughts for Saturday AM Snow: Not a big deal event for most in Maryland and Delaware. Just a very light accumulation possible the farther south you go. A bigger issue on the Eastern Shore of VA where we could see 2-4" of snow. Winter Storm Watch is up for that area.
January 9, 2025 at 10:54 AM
A very windy day will lead to wind chill values in the 10s for much of this Thursday. Highs this afternoon will only reach the 20s to near 30 degrees. Finally, we might see temperatures above the freezing mark on Friday to help melt a little of the ice and snow.
January 9, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Some extra clouds roll across Delmarva later this afternoon with maybe a few flurries as another Arctic blast arrives to Delmarva. Temperatures today will be in the 20s and 30s for highs. Be prepared for a bitter cold morning Thursday.

Well, we have started to reach a consensus now that the energy is on the west coast this afternoon and being modeled. Looking more likely that we are gonna get some more snow for Saturday. Too early to talk numbers and such since this is our first model runs with agreement.

Here is a map based upon viewer snow total submissions and from the National Weather Service. as you can see...for the most part, our forecast was very good with regards to who had the most snow across northern and central parts of Peninsula.
January 7, 2025 at 10:28 AM
Moderate to heavy snow continues to fly across a good part of Delmarva at the moment. This will continue as we move through the morning hours. If you don't have to be on the roads today...please stay at home. Crews are working hard to keep things clear.

I’m in this morning helping Mike Grewe with the forecast. Here is where we are with snow totals: At the moment, the biggest change we have made is brought some of the snow totals up across southern Delmarva. We will keep fine tuning this forecast over the course of the weekend.
January 4, 2025 at 10:18 AM
The story today is the Arctic front on the way for this evening that will provide us rain showers and some light snow. There are some possibilities of light accumulations of snow especially for far northern Delmarva. A Winter Weather Advisory is up for this evening for those parts.
